Bobby McMann's trade value is too high for the Maple Leafs not to trade him

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann is someone general manager Brad Treliving could use as trade fodder, and his trade value will make the team think long and hard.
Bobby McMann has been solid for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, and there is no denying that he is one of the team's top producers.
This Summer, he is going to become a free agent, and with the Leafs struggling to win games, there is a sense that he might be traded before the offseason.
There are plenty of teams that could use a 20-goal scorer like McMann, even if he becomes a bit invisible during the playoffs.
His trade value would be fairly high, and this would be a huge benefit to the Maple Leafs, who are very clearly in need of some assets.
Bobby McMann's trade value is enticing
According to Chris Johnston and James Mirtle of The Athletic, the Maple Leafs could get two second-round picks or perhaps one first-round pick for McMann.
It's a huge return for a player who was never supposed to be this good for the Leafs when he eventually made the leap from the AHL.
At the end of the day, the Leafs are probably going to have to be sellers at the trade deadline, so it makes sense for the team to go down this road.
Trading McMann could bring back some serious assets, and the Maple Leafs are in desperate need of that right now after being sellers for years.
While this isn't what the fans were hoping for at the start of the season, the harsh reality of the predicament is starting to set in right now.
Whether or not general manager Brad Treliving is built for the moment, is something that remains to be seen.
