Brad Treliving's time in Toronto might be coming to an end

Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has not done a particularly good job this season, and the reports surrounding him are not good.
Brad Treliving has one of the hardest jobs in the NHL, and there is no denying that this season has been rough for him.
After losing Mitch Marner, he brought in players like Nicolas Roy, Matias Maccelli, and even Dakota Joshua. Unfortunately, this has not been enough.
The Leafs are eight points out of a playoff spot, and with the Leafs refusing to make any deals before the trade deadline, fans are starting to get upset.
In fact, Treliving's lack of action has put him under the microscope, and a new report is not looking too good for the general manager.
Brad Treliving officially on the hot seat
According to James Mirtle, there is actually a high likelihood right now that Treliving loses his job if things continue to go down this road.
MLSE CEO Keith Pelley has been known to make some big decisions, and if the Leafs can't make the postseason, Treliving might just be the first victim.
If the Leafs had to do a rebuild, it's hard to see Brad Treliving being the guy who orchestrates it. He could barely orchestrate a playoff contender.
With that said, winning solves everything. If the Toronto Maple Leafs can start winning a few games, then Treliving's job will be saved.
For now, however, the Leafs are in a bad spot, and these kinds of rumblings are going to persist for the foreseeable future.
Only time will tell whether or not the Maple Leafs figure it out, or continue down this disappointing road of mediocrity.
