The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the Seattle Kraken tonight, and there has been quite a bit of fanfare around William Nylander's potential return.
Today, the Toronto Maple Leafs start a four-game road trip against the Seattle Kraken, where they will look to break a recent losing streak.
If this team wants to make the postseason, they need to start winning some games, and they need to start doing so fast.
However, with William Nylander injured, there has been a serious lack of offense, and it has been extremely problematic for the team's forward lines.
Is William Nylander back tonight?
Unfortunately, despite his participation in the morning skate, it does not appear as though Nylander is going to be in tonight's lineup.
Instead, the lineup is going to be mostly the same from previous games, albeit with one unique change that will be a head-scratcher.
Calle Jarnkrok is being placed on the third line with Nicolas Roy and Nick Robertson. Meanwhile, Easton Cowan will play with Steven Lorentz and Scott Laughton.

As for the starting goalie tonight, that is going to be Anthony Stolarz, who is being given another chance to shine.
These are some incredibly tough calls, and it will be fascinating to see how it all plays out, especially as the Leafs look to turn the season around.
If they can't make that happen, then this season's playoff hopes might just be over.
