Craig Berube has a message for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and it reeks of desperation

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube had a message for his team at practice today, but it is hard to say whether or not this will resonate with the players.
The Leafs have lost seven of their last eight games and are desperate for a win right now. If they can't get a win, then they will be stuck in last place in the Eastern Conference.
On Wednesday night, the Leafs will play against the Columbus Blue Jackets, a team that, for the most part, has had their number.
Today, the Maple Leafs were on the ice for practice, and head coach Craig Berube had his team working hard in preparation for a dog fight.

At the end of practice, Berube had a message for his players, although it is one that feels hollow given how many games the Leafs have been losing.
The glass is half full not half empty
Quite frankly, the glass has shattered already. The team needs to be accountable and these kinds of cliches are not going to help.
Will Craig Berube be fired?
There have been calls for Craig Berube to be fired, although it remains to be seen whether or not that is going to happen. After all, he is dealing with an injured roster.
Furthermore, general manager Brad Treliving has made it clear that he has faith in Berube right now. Whether or not this faith is misplaced remains to be seen.
The Maple Leafs have a rough schedule coming up. On top of the Blue Jackets, they have to play the Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers, and Carolina Hurricanes.
This is a schedule that is conducive to a lot of losing, and if the Leafs don't weather the storm, it's not a stretch to believe that Berube will be out.
