William Nylander has been dealing with an injury for months, and now, Darren Dreger has the scoop on his return to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has made a lot of noise as of late, thanks to his middle finger antics against the Colorado Avalanche.
In fact, the forward was given a $5000 fine for his actions. Perhaps the worst about all of this is the fact that he isn't even playing.
He is dealing with a lower-body injury, and while the Leafs were winning without him at first, that has since changed for the worse.

When is William Nylander coming back?

However, according to Darren Dreger, there is actually some good news concerning the superstar forward right now.
In a new report, he suggested that Nylander might come back on Thursday, when the Leafs go to Seattle to take on the Kraken.
There's optimism that William Nylander could return back to the lineup as early as Thursday in Seattle, though there is no guarantee. The fact that he has been back on the ice is viewed as a positive step toward rejoining the Leafs lineup, with the 'best case scenario' being a return on Thursday.
When it comes to this injury, Dreger claims that it is actually a groin problem and that the only way it can get better is by skating.
Nylander aggravated a groin issue that takes time to heal, but skating is a key part of the recovery process. He is eager to return and help the Leafs, and his recent frustration stemmed from not being able to play or contribute.

Whether or not Nylander's return makes a big impact is something that still very much remains to be seen.
However, if one thing is for certain, it is that the Leafs are in desperate need of some good news these days.
