Former Maple Leafs forward David Kampf just made a life-changing announcement

Just a few weeks ago, David Kampf was part of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. Now, he is with the Vancouver Canucks, and his personal life is thriving.
Last weekend, David Kampf signed a one-year, $1.1 million deal with the Vancouver Canucks. This happened just hours after being terminated by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
There was no more room for Kampf on the Leafs, and it was about time that both sides moved on. In the end, it was an arrangement that worked out for everyone.
So far, Kampf has played two games with the Canucks, and while they have not been particularly successful, he is still very much needed by the team right now.
David Kampf announces major news
Meanwhile, it appears as though Kampf is dealing with a lot in his personal life right now. According to the Daily Hive, the forward is expecting a second child.
His wife, Eliska Kampf, made the announcement on social media this past week, noting that their young son is going to be a big brother.
Their child is expected in March of 2026, and congratulations are certainly in order for the family.
This announcement came just a couple of days after the forward took to social media, and delivered a heartfelt message to the Maple Leafs fans.
It's been a pleasure Toronto. A great chapter of my life but the time has come to move on. I gave everything I had to this organization and city and I'll always be thankful for the opportunity I got here. Thank you to all my teammates I got to spend those years with I wish you guys all the best. Also, special thank you to each and every one of the Leafs staff for taking care of me and my family through the years. Toronto will always have a special place in our hearts. Excited for the future with Canucks!
