Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll is reportedly upset with head coach Craig Berube, although it seems as though things are cooling off between the two.
Joseph Woll found himself in a dire situation against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night as he was peppered with shots in a loss.
He got pulled halfway through the game after allowing four goals on 25 shots. However, it was not his fault. In fact, the score could have been 10-0 without his brilliance.
Now, he is getting ready to play the Columbus Blue Jackets, although trouble has been brewing between him and head coach Craig Berube.
Joseph Woll battles Craig Berube
As Berube explained earlier today, Woll was "pissed" at him for taking him out of the game so soon.
His battle level, he was so pissed off at me for pulling him the other night (in Montreal). I like that. He wanted to be in there and fight, and that's good.
While speaking to the media after practice, Woll clarified that things between his coach are fine. He was just battling and he wanted a chance to play his team back in the game.
I was having fun battling out there. Of course, anytime you get out of the net, you're not very happy, but I thought we still had a chance to come back, and I thought we were kind of getting some momentum. It ended up not going our way.
This just goes to show that Joseph Woll cares a lot about winning, and he wants to battle for his guys, no matter what is happening.
On Wednesday, he will get the chance to battle all over again, and it feels as though he has a real chance to show people what he can do.
With Dennis Hildeby as the backup, the Leafs need him more than ever, and it will be fascinating to see if he can get this club back on track.
