Maple Leafs lineup vs. the Predators: Craig Berube puts his job on the line

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has some big decisions to make tonight, and it appears as though he is keeping everyone on their toes.
The Toronto Maple Leafs lost 4-0 to the Washington Capitals on Thursday night, and it ended up becoming a disastrous loss for the team in terms of the subsequent media discourse.
There are some who believe that Craig Berube's job is on the line going into this weekend's back-to-back with the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars.
Quite frankly, it is easy to see why fans would feel this way about the situation. Berube has lost the locker room, or at least it appears that way.
In fact, Berube himself seems to know the stakes. While speaking to the media this morning, he let on to how much this is all weighing on him.
Craig Berube refuses to confirm the Maple Leafs lineup
The head coach announced that Joseph Woll would be the goaltender for tonight's game. He then went on to say that the lineup has not been determined.
Simply put, Berube is taking the time to think this one through. He knows that this game could make or break the Leafs' season.
So what will he do? Is he going to take William Nylander off the first line with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies? Is he going to put Matias Maccelli back in the lineup?
Could he possibly decide to get Max Domi out of the lineup following numerous inconsistent starts? The possibilities are endless.
The fact remains that Berube knows his job is in the balance, and we can only imagine what he must be feeling and thinking right about now.
This is not the situation the head coach was hoping for at the start of the season, and going forward, he must figure out how to remain behind the bench.
