Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi scored a beautiful goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, but it was his father, Tie, who stole the moment.

Max Domi has been one of the most heavily criticized players on the Toronto Maple Leafs, and for good reason. When you make $3.75 million per season, the expectations are high.
However, over the last two seasons, Domi has not met those expectations. He has been a healthy scratch twice this season, and going into last night's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, he had just 12 points in 33 games.
Thankfully, Domi had himself a good match on Tuesday night, as he scored one goal and added an assist for one of his few multi-point games of the season.

Max Domi scores a beauty

As you can see in the clip below, Domi's goal against the Penguins was an absolute beauty. He went coast-to-coast, skating through numerous defenders.
It was the kind of play that we seldom see from Domi these days. The kind of play that harkens back to the years in which Domi was scoring 70 points in a single season.
The goal was on highlight reels all throughout social media, and it was well deserved. However, his famous father, Tie Domi, ended up stealing the show.

Leafs fans react to Tie Domi

Immediately after the goal was scored, the camera panned to Tie, who was sitting in the stands, and appeared to be slightly amused by the goal as he was smiling.
Fans took to social media to express how much they love the Tie Cam. However, there were others who took shots at Max, saying his father refused to get up because nine times out of 10, Domi is playing poorly.
One can only hope that last night's game is going to give Domi the confidence to go out and have a huge season with the Leafs. It is about time he steps up, and the fans want to see him perform.
At this point, you could even make the argument that his two-point performance was a Christmas miracle of sorts.
