Morgan Rielly & Matias Maccelli hilariously troll Easton Cowan after game-winning goal

Last night was phenomenal for Easton Cowan, as he was the big hero during the Leafs' overtime win against the Philadelphia Flyers.

After Scott Laughton tied up the game, Cowan was the player who scored in overtime, thanks to a pass from veteran Leafs forward John Tavares.

It was a big moment for the kid, who is now showing that he can score goals in big moments, something that we weren't sure if we were going to see this early in his career.

Clearly, Cowan is making a large impression on his teammates, and they were very eager to celebrate with him after last night's big win.

During his television interview, numerous Maple Leafs players came around to troll Cowan. Whether it be Morgan Rielly peaking around the door to try and make some comments, or Matias Maccelli only showing his eyes.

It made for some hilarious television, and it was one of those things that just goes to show how the vibes on the Leafs have been uplifted as of late.

The Maple Leafs are now just one point out of a playoff spot, and with Cowan scoring big-time goals like this, it really does feel like the Leafs are on the precipice of something great.

Ultimately, it is not going to be easy for the Leafs to keep up this pace. They have the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday and the Colorado Avalanche on Monday.

These should be some interesting games for the Leafs, and we are excited to see how it all plays out. Of course, for the fans, it's more interesting if they win.

That said, 2026 has started with a bang for Toronto, and there is no denying that these players want the season to continue down this path.
