There are numerous Toronto Maple Leafs players struggling right now, and after yet another healthy scratch against the Montreal Canadiens, one fourth liner appears to be done.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok has been struggling since returning from a sports hernia last season, and his lack of pedigree is becoming apparent.
The forward has just four goals and zero assists this season. There have been few reasons to be impressed with the forward, and Craig Berube has lost favor with him.
In fact, Berube has kept Jarnkrok as a healthy scratch for four straight games, including Saturday's loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
Matias Maccelli has also met the same fate, although Jarnkrok's disposability within the franchise is becoming crystal clear.

Calle Jarnkrok and the Toronto Maple Leafs are on the outs

Jarnkrok has been on the trading block since the summer, and had he been more valuable, the Maple Leafs would have dealt him already.
One fan on social media even suggested that the forward should be traded in a blockbuster package for Bowen Byram of the Buffalo Sabres.
At this point, a Jarnkrok trade seems all but guaranteed. Berube won't play the forward, and it seems unlikely that he will work his way back into the lineup.
Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving could use some extra draft picks right now, and Jarnkrok could very well fetch a couple.
The Leafs need some extra assets for the trade deadline, and getting rid of Jarnkrok now might just help the Leafs achieve their goals.
Either way, if Jarnkrok isn't going to get in the lineup, the Maple Leafs might as well cut him loose. However, they will attempt to make it cleaner than what happened with David Kampf.
