Hockey Night in Canada will feature the Toronto Maple Leafs taking on the Montreal Canadiens, and Leafs fans are curious about the starting goalie situation.

Tonight's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens is extremely important for both teams, and not just because this is a rivalry game.
The Canadiens have gone from first in the Atlantic Division to sixth, while the Maple Leafs are right behind them in seventh. Both teams need a win; otherwise, maximum pain will continue.
One of the biggest issues for the Montreal Canadiens has been their goaltending. Samuel Montembeault has been dreadful, while Jakub Dobes has fallen off a cliff since his hot start.
As for the Maple Leafs, Joseph Woll has been in the net in Anthony Stolarz's absence, and for the most part, he has done a good job.

Who is the starting goalie for the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight?

Woll has played three games in a row so far this season, and now, the Maple Leafs are going to make it four.
It is an aggressive decision from head coach Craig Berube, although with Dennis Hildeby as the backup, it is clear that the team has put all of its trust in Woll.
Woll has been one of the few bright spots on the Maple Leafs over the past week, and he has made the fans fall in love with him all over again.

Joseph Woll's stats tell the story

In three games so far, Woll has a goals-against average of 2.57 and a save percentage of .923. He also has a record of 1-1-1.
None of the losses have been his fault, and for the most part, he is the only thing truly keeping the Toronto Maple Leafs in these games.
Against the Canadiens, the Leafs will be expecting a big-time performance from the netminder, and if his first three games are any indication, we might be in for a treat.
