Camera captures Matt Murray taking his net off it's pegs during play
Earlier this year Matt Murray was accused of intentionally knocking his net off it's pegs against the New Jersey Devils and Minnesota Wild. A trick of the trade for goaltenders is to intentionally knock the net off during the play to get a whistle.
Tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers, Matt Murray was caught on camera again taking his net off the pegs. This time though Murray wasn't doing it as some might think.
It's clear from the video that the net in Philadelphia was far from pegged down properly. This is just another case of a net across the league not being properly secured. This time however it was to alert the referee of just how bad the nets were pegged in.
