The Dallas Stars against the New York Rangers has certainly been an eventful game in the early going. First Igor Shesterkin gets clipped and now, the stars have made a goaltending change.

According to Shayna of The Athletic Stars goaltender Jake Oettinget has left the game with an injury, just over 5 minutes into the second period.

It's not clear why Oettinger left, but he excited the game a 6:43 of the second period. Scott Wedgewood has taken his place in the Dallas net.

Oettinger, 23, has had a fantastic start to the season. I'm 6 games played this season, he has a 5-1 record with a 1.17 goals-against-average and a .960 save-percentage.

For his and the Stars sake, here's hoping it's just a tweak and nothing serious that will keep him out for an extended period of time.
