The New York Rangers on in Dallas to take on the Stars in the early game today. It's been a chippy game thus and in the dying seconds of the first period, a Stars player goes after Igor Shesterkin.
Stars forward Ty Dellandrea while on the forecheck at the tail end of the period, skated right through the Rangers crease and clips Shesterkin on the way by.
Shesterkin was slow to get up, but ultimately did stay in the game. Dellandrea got 4 minutes Artemi Panarin got 2 for going after Dellandrea after the fact.
On one hand good for the Rangers for standing up for their all-star goaltender, on the other, did Shesterkin embellish a little bit?
Either way, you can't touch the goalie and that could've been really dangerous. However, It also appears Shesterkin is okay as he stayed in net to start the second period which is also a good sign.
