Fan explains what started the Maple Leafs' fan fights
Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs lost Game 7. With Tampa Bay advancing after a 2-1 victory, emotions were high as Leafs' fans were exiting the arena. So much so that multiple fights broke out in the concourse after the game.
One fan reached out about this video and provided the following information:
After the game many fans stayed in their seats and cheered on the Leafs until they left the ice. Some people were angrier than others and the dude who has his shirt off was one of them. The dude without his shirt was absolutely loaded and running his mouth. I don't know for sure but it looked like he pushed someone and that's what set things off.
Security got there very quickly and at least a couple people were arrested. I got out of there pretty fast because things were wild and I was with my girlfriend.
If you haven't seen the fight it can be viewed here.
This is just another example of what happens when alcohol meets emotion.
