With his playoff berth with the Minnesota Wild, Marc-Andre Fleury has officially set a major professional sports record. The playoff berth marks Fleury's 16th consecutive season making the playoffs. This record stands not only as an NHL record, but professional sports record.
Both Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are ineligible for this record as both men missed the entire 2011 playoffs with injury, while Kris Letang who would have been at 15-years missed the entire 2017 playoffs.
This record just shows not only Fleury's incredible durability but his dedication as well.
