The Colorado Avalanche finished off the Edmonton Oilers last night in a tense hockey game. Winning it in OT, Artturi Lehkonen scored once again to send his team to the Cup Finals.
But that wasn't the biggest highlight of the night. The old tradition of not touching the Campbell trophy continues, but a new one has been added. In a surprise turn of events, Nathan MacKinnon has told all his teammates not to smile during the photo with the Campbell trophy. This definitely makes for an eerie looking picture, but understandable when they have yet to reach their ultimate goal of winning the Stanley Cup.
The Avalanche await the winner of the New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning series.
