The Battle of Alberta has come to an end. Unfortunately for hockey fans it wasn't the 7 game slugfest most of us had hoped for. The Oilers and more specifically, Connor McDavid, won 4 consecutive games after losing Game 1.
The Oilers victory left a sour taste in many Flames' fans mouths, knowing their team is likely to drastically change this summer. With Johnny Gaudreau an unrestricted free agent, looking for his first major payday there will be lineup changes either at the top or bottom. Depending on Gaudreau's decision.
But changes might be essential, because the Flames were incapable of stopping McDavid. McDavid notched 12-points in 5 games, including the series clinching goal. McDavid now has 26-points in this playoffs.
