Oscar Lindblom gets his second chance in the NHL after being bought out by the Flyers
The Philadelphia Flyers made the difficult decision to buyout the contract of Oscar Lindblom. Due to his age and number of games played the buyout occured at 1/3 of his total contract.
While a member of the Flyers, Lindblom successfully beat cancer, which made the decision for the Flyers that much more difficult. The Flyers made a $100,000 donation in Lindblom's name to a cancer charity of Lindblom's choice.
Today though Oscar Lindblom has received his second chance as he was signed by the San Jose Sharks.
Lindblom will get an opportunity to rebuild his value as part of the rebuild in San Jose.
