Last night's game between the Penguins and Rangers had all the makings of an amazing playoff series. Luckily for hockey fans, it looks like this series could come to fruition.
The game had that feel like it was a playoff game. With the New York Rangers leading 2-0 the Penguins were in a bad mood and looking for any sort of spark.
So when Barclay Goodrow took a slash at Pittsburgh Penguins' Evgeni Malkin he wasn't going to hold back. Malkin is known for having a bit of a mean streak and he can definitely hold his own, but his teammate Mike Matheson wanted to go with Goodrow instead.
After Goodrow would drop his glove and land a punch, the linesmen would attempt to break things up, but without help from his partner he was in some trouble. Especially when Matheson, who had his jersey pulled over his eyes inadvertently face washed the linesman.
This has all the makings of a classic 7-game series.
