When the Boston Bruins announced they'd signed Mitchell Miller to a 2-year contract they were immediately met with a storm of backlash. Fans, players and the victim of Miller's bullying were all furious with the decision. The outrage even extended to Bruins' players who didn't understand or approve of the signing.

Days later the Bruins opted to terminate Miller's contract, something they'll have to wait until the summer to do. Lost in all of this was the victim, Isaiah Meyer-Crothers, who the Bruins hadn't spoken to before signing Miller's deal. Meyer-Crothers eventually released a letter through the Hockey Diversity Alliance about his experiences with Miller.

The Hockey Diversity Alliance have continued to support Meyer-Crothers even after the termination of Miller's contract. Yesterday Wayne Simmonds of the HDA took some time to spend the day in Detroit with Isaiah. Isaiah's mother Joni took to Twitter to share the following:

Isaiah got to spend the evening with @Simmonds17 Wayne Simmonds. Tomorrow he will be going to the Maple Leafs/Red Wings game. Happy 21st Bday Buddy! #KindnessMatters

This was a great gesture by Simmonds who is universally known to be one of the best people in the entire league. It's great to see Meyer-Crothers continues to receive the support he needs.
