Chicago Blackhawks land former first rounder Teuvo Teravainen
The Chicago Blackhawks are bringing back a very familiar face that is well-known to their fans.
According to PuckPedia, the Blackhawks have agreed to terms on a three-year contract worth $16.2 million ($5.4 million) with free agent forward Teuvo Teravainen.

Teravainen, 29, set a new career-high in goals during the 2023-24 season and played a key top-six role with the Carolina Hurricanes. In 76 games during the regular season, Teravainen registered 53 points (25 goals, 28 assists), ten penalty minutes and was a plus-15. The Helsinki native also recorded six points in 11 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Helsinki, Finland native was drafted 18th overall by Chicago in 2012 and went on to spend parts of three seasons with them in The Windy City, winning a Stanley Cup in 2015 before he was traded to Carolina in June 2016.
