Perry, a native of London (Ontario), took a bit of a step back this season after putting up 40 points in his first season with the Lightning. In 81 games this season, Perry had 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists), 95 penalty minutes and was a minus-28. During the Stanley Cup Playoffs, he added five points in six games.
There will be several teams that will want to sign Perry when he hits the open market on Canada Day. Perry's salary would likely only be in the $1-$2.5 million range and only on a one-year deal, given his age. So it could be a very reasonable deal for any team.
