Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has been walking around with a nasty gash on his head, and Derek Settlemyre has an explanation of what happened.
Craig Berube has been going viral over the past week or so thanks to an injury he sustained while working out in the gym.
The head coach has a huge U-shaped gash on his forehead, and it required a plethora of stitches. For the most part, Berube has been too shy to really say what happened.
After all, this is not an easy injury to sustain. Something truly disastrous would have had to have happened for the gash to have that kind of shape.
Thankfully, on the "Nasty Knuckles" podcast, co-host Derek Settlemyre offered up an explanation for what really happened to the head coach.
What happened to Craig Berube?
Essentially, Berube was doing a shoulder press, but ended up dropping the bar on his head. The force of the impact was so bad that Berube's forehead skin peeled down and was dangling from his head.
Blood was spilling everywhere, and it was a truly disgusting scene for everyone who witnessed it take place.
He was doing the press and the bar came down and got him
Hilariously, the head coach claims that he did not feel an ounce of pain from the occasion, and he never panicked throughout the experience.
Whether or not this is true or he is trying to maintain an aura remains to be seen. All we know is that the man is a warrior and can take anything that comes his way.
Hopefully, the gash continues to heal up. We can only imagine the kind of scar this is going to leave for the foreseeable future.
