Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube spoke to the media today, where he offered an update on a plethora of injured players, including Anthony Stolarz.
Anthony Stolarz has had a very rough start to the season, with a goals-against average of 3.51 and a save percentage of .884.
To make matters worse, the goaltender got injured a few games ago after being overworked. The Leafs had no trust in their backups, and it led to Stolarz getting injured.
On Friday, the Maple Leafs were back on the ice for practice, and head coach Craig Berube was asked about Stolarz's status.
Unfortunately, the answer was not a particularly positive one. As Berube explains, Stolarz has not skated since his injury, and there is no timeline for is return.
The head coach had a similar update on defenseman Brandon Carlo, who has been out of the lineup for a similar amount of time as Stolarz.
Maple Leafs injuries piling up
These injuries to Stolarz and Carlo are not isolated incidents. The Maple Leafs are dealing with a whole host of injuries right now, and it feels like the team is in trouble.
