Insider warns of tough time ahead for Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is preparing to return to the Maple Leafs, although he could be in for a rude awakening very soon.
Anthony Stolarz has been out for over two months with a nerve injury in his upper body, and the fans have been wondering when he will return.
It appears as though the goaltender will need a couple more practices, which means we very well could see him in the lineup next week.
However, there are some rumors floating around concerning Stolarz, especially when you consider his numbers and his contract.
There are teams in need of goaltending, and with the Leafs dealing with needs of their own, there could be a very obvious solution brewing.
An Anthony Stolarz trade could be inevitable
According to Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet, the Maple Leafs would love to keep Stolarz and Joseph Woll on the team.
Unfortunately, given their desire for a depth defenseman and a goal-scorer, that might not be realistic right now.
In a perfect world, they'd like to keep the depth they have in net; The Leafs need to find another defenceman, or a quality scorer; they're thin on picks and prospects the front office might have to get creative
This is bad news for Stolarz and the Leafs, although, this is something that fans had been preparing for during the goaltender's absence.
If he gets some games in before the Olympic break and plays well, then you could make the argument that it is the perfect time to move him.
It is an extremely difficult decision to make, and one we're sure the Leafs will not be taking lightly going forward.
