Nazem Kadri's latest remarks towards Auston Matthews prove he misses Toronto

Calgary Flames star Nazem Kadri dropped a comment on Auston Matthews' Instagram post after the Leafs captain broke the team's franchise scoring record.
Auston Matthews continues to put himself in the history books. On Saturday night, he surpassed Mats Sundin for the most goals in Leafs franchise history.
Last night, the Leafs honored Matthews before the game against the Florida Panthers, and it was a truly joyous occasion for everyone.
It's clear that the Leafs fanbase has a ton of reverence for the captain, and he received a huge standing ovation during the ceremony.
Now, Matthews is even receiving praise from his former teammate, Nazem Kadri, who now plays for the Calgary Flames.
Nazem Kadri and Auston Matthews are still tight
After posting about last night's festivities on his Instagram page, Kadri ended up in the comments section with a red light emoji.
Clearly, it was a cheeky nod towards the captain, whom he used to share the ice with. In fact, one might argue that Kadri wishes he were still in Toronto.
There have been numerous rumors surrounding Nazem Kadri this season, although for now, it appears as though the Calgary Flames would rather keep him.
Overall, Kadri remains a solid player for the Flames, and one who will likely play out his contract with the team if the team still needs offense.
Kadri is someone who still plays the game at a high level, and there is no denying that the Leafs franchise misses him dearly.
For now, however, fans are just going to have to live with the very real reality of the situation, which is that Kadri and the Leafs could not be further apart.
