Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander missed a few games due to a lower-body injury, and this led to a truly bizarre trade proposal from a controversial insider.
William Nylander has been the best scorer on the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, although he has missed the last six games with an injury.
During this time, the Maple Leafs have been winning games. They have an eight-game point streak going, and there are now rumblings about Nylander's impact.
In fact, analysts like Nick Kypreos are delivering all sorts of hot takes about what needs to be done with Nylander, and if the Leafs should even keep him.
For instance, he made a trade proposal this week that has led to all sorts of confusion from Leafs fans who couldn't believe what they were hearing.

Essentially, Kypreos believes the Maple Leafs could trade William Nylander to the Seattle Kraken for Brandon Montour and Jamie Oleksiak.
Quite frankly, this is the type of trade that just doesn't make much sense for the Maple Leafs. Sure, Montour and Oleksiak bolster the defense, but at what cost?
Nick Kypreos can be an interesting character when it comes to his suggestions, and that was on full display with this proposal.
Fans on social media are finding it hard to believe, and made that very clear, as you can see from the tweets below.
If you're Leafs general manager, Brad Treliving, a trade involving Nylander is absolutely out of the question and is pure fantasy.
Meanwhile, Kypreos is looking to get some attention, and we suppose we're all a bit guilty of giving it to him.
