Toronto Maple Leafs are clear losers in trade with the Boston Bruins

The Toronto Maple Leafs recently made a trade with the Boston Bruins, and based on how things have played out, the Maple Leafs are the clear losers here.
Fraser Minten was a player who got into a few games for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, and as it turns out, he was actually quite good.
Unfortunately, the Leafs felt like other needs needed to be addressed during the trade deadline, and it led to a questionable trade for Brandon Carlo, which also involved a first-round pick.
Now, the Maple Leafs have egg on their faces as Minten won Rookie of the Month in January, notching 14 points in 14 games.
To add insult to injury, Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm is making Leafs general manager Brad Treliving look like an absolute fool with his latest comments.
Boston Bruins claim victory
If one thing is for certain here, it is that the Bruins feel like they committed a complete and utter heist on the Maple Leafs.
He was a steal for us
Sturm went on to say that Minten is one of the least selfish players out there and is currently one of his favorites.
I’m very, very happy with the way he’s been playing all year long. I put him in different situations from the fourth line to pretty much the first line, and you could see he can do it all. He definitely has something a lot of players don’t have
Needless to say, the Maple Leafs messed up in a big way when they got rid of Minten, and it has to be one of Treliving's many regrets.
If the Leafs could redo this one, we have a feeling that they absolutely would.
