Fans break panes of glass in arena celebrating goal
One thing we know about hockey fans is they're a passionate bunch who are usually ride or die for a team from a young age. When that happens things tend to get a little bit rowdy, especially when fans make it into the arena and their team is winning when they're not supposed to be, add in a little bit of school spirit and pride your high school team and you've got a recipe for something wild to happen when goals are scored.
On Thursday night was the BHS 1AA final between Rochester and Lakeville South. Rochester fans got a little excited when their team scored to take a 2-0 lead in the 1st period over heavy favourites in Lakeville that they broke multiple panels of glass celebrating; take a look.
Here's how it all went down. Literally.
Like I said above, hockey fans can get rowdy but I'm not sure I've seen fans rush the glass and subsequently break it from celebrating quite like that. This caused a lengthy delay while they fixed the glass
Rochester would go on to win 3-2 in what was clearly a very emotional game for everyone involved.
