Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube watched his team beat the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, and it led to a reflection on why the team is winning.
Just a few weeks ago, Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube was on the hot seat, and some felt he should have been fired.
However, in the last nine games, the Leafs are 7-0-2, and have worked themselves into a potential playoff spot, which no one thought was possible last month.
It's clear that the Leafs have found something special here, and one has to wonder if this is going to be sustainable for the rest of the year.
Berube is obviously getting a lot out of the team right now, but there are still questions about why the team is playing so well all of a sudden.

While speaking to the media last night, Berube noted that it all has to do with the defense. Previously, the team could not defend to save its life. Now, the team is keeping pucks away from their netminder.
Healthier for sure, goaltending for sure you know we scored goals all year to be honest, the power play didn't we weren't defending, we are defending now keeping the puck out of the net
Joseph Woll's goaltending has been sensational as of late, and his recent shutout against the Vancouver Canucks proves that the Leafs are back.
Not to mention, the team got three points from William Nylander in his first game back, which proves that he belongs on the roster.
Matias Maccelli is scoring goals as well. Everything is working for the Leafs, and they are keen to keep things rolling.
Sure, the Canucks are not a good team. But their play has been sensational and is worthy of being commended. On Monday, they play the Colorado Avalanche.
