With the Toronto Maple Leafs looking to get a big win against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, they have decided to make a starting goalie change at the right time.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are taking on the Las Vegas Golden Knights tonight, where they will face off against their former player, Mitch Marner.
Overall, this is going to be an incredibly interesting matchup, and there is no denying that the fans are extremely excited to see how this all pans out.
With that in mind, the Leafs need to pick the right starting goalie if they are going to have any chance of coming away with a win in this one.
On Tuesday night, the Leafs used Dennis Hildeby against the Utah Mammoth. Unfortunately, for Hildeby, this didn't go so well as he allowed six goals on 41 shots.
Who is the starting goalie for the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight?
Tonight, the Leafs are making a change back to the norm. Joseph Woll is going to be the starter tonight, coming off a huge win against the Colorado Avalanche.
He was in the starter's net during morning skate, and it is clear as day that the Maple Leafs are hoping that he can go out and get a win in a very important game.
This is not going to be an easy game for Joseph Woll. After all, the Golden Knights are one of the best teams in the Western Conference, although not quite as good as the Avalanche.
That said, the Marner portion of this game is what everyone is focused on. The Leafs fans want to see the team get one over on the Golden Knights.
With a goals-against average of 2.54 and a save percentage of .920, Woll has as good a chance as ever to be the guy that gets the Leafs the win tonight.
With a Wild Card playoff spot on the line, there is no doubt that the pressure is going to be present here.
